Account Executive - West Coast

Job Overview
This position is all about helping MajorClarity partner with as many schools and students as possible. This is a mid-to-senior level sales role with the opportunity to bring many districts to MajorClarity while truly making a difference in millions of students' lives.

Account Executives work in their respective territories and own the sales process from qualified prospect (in partnership with our SDR team) to close.

About You
- You're driven—from prospecting to hunting down a contract, you own tasks from start to finish
- You're self-motivated and comfortable working in a startup culture

Sales Development Representative

Job Overview
This position is all about helping MajorClarity get in the door with as many schools and students as possible. This is an entry-level role in sales that provides substantial opportunity to learn the ropes of outbound sales while also truly making a difference in millions of students' lives.

Sales Development Reps will source and prospect leads, run outbound email and cold call campaigns to those prospects, set meetings, assist with product demos, and manage a deal pipeline.

About You

- You're highly self-motivated—from booking meetings to preparing your account executives, you own tasks from start to finish

MARKETING

Marketing Associate or Manager

Job Overview
We are looking for a revenue-focused marketer with skills in event and content marketing. You’ll join a fun, innovative team marketing one of the fastest-growing college and career readiness platforms in K-12 education. The role is designed to build brand awareness, launch into new markets, and promote products and services.

Responsibilities
- Publish a regular editorial calendar including social media, PPC and email to create buzz
- Establish thought leadership through content marketing, such as blog post, podcast, webinars and event marketing
- Build and optimize email marketing and marketing automation programs to nurture, convert, and grow partnerships with K-12 school districts
- Coordinate tradeshow/conference strategy including conference proposals, booth activities, and networking events
- Design one-pagers, decks, and landing pages to launch new product offerings
- Partner with our Sales Enablement Coordinator to run state-specific campaigns that open and expand key territories for our sales team
- Conduct A/B tests and ROI analysis on campaigns to optimize marketing spend, especially in emerging markets

The Expectations

CUSTOMER SUCCESS

Implementation Specialist

Job Overview
This position will work on our Primary Onboarding Team that specifically caters to our smaller school partners. With a strong company commitment to equity and accessibility, the Onboarding Team plays a critical role in ensuring that even our smallest school partners, who typically have much more limited resources, still have an equal opportunity to provide MajorClarity’s resources to staff and students. You will be involved in several key components of the client onboarding process, including (but not limited to) handling tasks such as:

- Participating in client kickoffs
- Completing data integration steps
- Performing data review and file editing
- Configuring platform customizations to align with partner needs

Ultimately, you’ll be working with our district partners to ensure their onboarding experience is as seamless and pleasant as possible.

It’s important that the Implementation Specialist operates with high personal efficiency and strong attention to detail. You will need to be knowledgeable about onboarding process nuances, have strong documentation skills, and be ready to proactively identify risks and early warning signs for partners whose onboarding experience is off-track.

Implementation Specialists will be responsible for configuring and thoroughly QA-ing accounts ahead of launch, and will be expected to both troubleshoot and correct any technical issues to set our school partners up for success.

This role will work in tandem with an Onboarding Manager, often working collaboratively to serve a high-volume number of accounts. Having a knack for technology, strong personal organization, executing with sharp attention to detail, and maintaining the ability to sense potential problems and act quickly are important elements for success in this role. We are looking for individuals who take strong ownership in their work and are willing to go the extra mile to ensure quality outcomes for our customers!

As a potential Implementation Specialist, you:
- Have experience navigating multi-step work processes and tight timelines
- Know how to manage your workflow efficiently, prioritize work, and get the job done consistently, especially during high-volume times
- Must be technology-proficient with proven ability to manipulate data easily and accurately (experience with Excel is required)
-Have an aptitude for learning new platforms/technologies quickly and on the job
- Excel at written and oral communication
- Have 1-3 years of relevant work experience
- Moderate to advanced abilities with Excel and Google Suite

Icing on the cake:
- Have experience working in a fast-paced startup environment or SaaS business
- Previous experience in technical support role (or proven capability of technical proficiency/work in the technology industry)
- Previous experience in Education Technology (EdTech)

Base salary for this position is expected to be in the $45 - 55k range, with additional quarterly team-based bonus potential. This position is hybrid with some weekly expectation of in-office work in our main office in downtown Richmond, Virginia.

Account Manager

Job Overview
This position will work on our Primary Team that specifically caters to our smaller school partners. With a strong company commitment to equity and accessibility, the Primary Team plays a critical role in ensuring that even our smallest school partners, who typically have much more limited resources, still have an equal opportunity to provide MajorClarity’s resources to staff and students. Overall, the Account Manager role is all about ensuring schools and students are successfully and beneficially utilizing the MajorClarity platform, seeing them through a successful launch as well as ongoing implementation of the platform, post-onboarding. Your duties will include (but not limited to):

- Serving as primary point of contact with an assigned full caseload
- Running outreach campaigns to keep accounts engaged
- Monitoring & tracking platform adoption, as well as early warning signs
- Managing the renewal process
- Identifying opportunities for upsells and expansions

Day-to-day, the Account Manager will provide exceptional client support to their assigned caseload. You will be accountable for driving adoption of the MajorClarity platform, being a go-to expert on platform tools and resources, and working collaboratively with the Onboarding Team, as well as identifying trends or issues that could be preventing client success or early predictors of churn, and communicating those effectively. This role will manage a high-volume of accounts, so efficiency and a knack for technology are key while still maintaining that ‘trusted advisor’ feel to your clients. Having strong support etiquette and ability to sense problems and provide resolutions with high satisfaction are important elements for success in this role.

Ultimately, you’ll be responsible for driving long-term growth and satisfaction for a large number of our small school partners. The ideal candidate will take strong ownership in their work and be willing to go the extra mile to ensure quality outcomes for our customers!

As a potential Account Manager, you:
- Have proven experience in Account Management, Project Management, Customer Success, or something comparable (preferably in software)
- Know how to manage your workflow efficiently and get the job done, especially during high-volume times
- Are technology-proficient and able to work with data easily and accurately
- Learn new platforms/technologies quickly and with sharp attention to detail
- Excel at written and oral communication
- Are proactive with your work, thinking and planning several steps ahead
- Are highly team oriented and goal/results-motivated
- Have 2-4 years of highly relevant work experience
- Moderate to advanced abilities with Excel and Google Suite

Icing on the cake:
- Have experience working in a fast-paced startup environment or SaaS business
- Previous experience in technical support role (or proven capability of technical proficiency/work in the technology industry)
- Understand how to drive client engagement, manage renewals, and with a proven success record of ensuring client value and satisfaction
- Previous experience working in Education Technology (EdTech)
- Experience with CRMs and/or Marketing software like Pipedrive, Salesforce, Hubspot, Constant Contact, etc.

Base salary for this position is expected to be in the $50 - 58k range, with additional variable compensation for on-target performance (OTE). This position is hybrid with some weekly expectation of in-office work in our main office in downtown Richmond, Virginia.
