Senior Software Engineer

Job Overview
You’ll be working across our full stack directly to build out new features, optimize platform performance, provide support, and design and build sustainable architecture as we grow and scale. We are looking for someone who can not only code but also brings creativity and a desire to experiment and iterate quickly.

About You
- You care about writing clean, concise code
- You’re an experienced developer (minimum 2-5 years of experience) with knowledge of the entire web stack
- You're a generalist that carefully selects the right tool for the job
- You have experience working with Ruby on Rails

Account Executive - West Coast

Job Overview
This position is all about helping MajorClarity partner with as many schools and students as possible. This is a mid-to-senior level sales role with the opportunity to bring many districts to MajorClarity while truly making a difference in millions of students' lives.

Account Executives work in their respective territories and own the sales process from qualified prospect (in partnership with our SDR team) to close.

About You
- You're driven—from prospecting to hunting down a contract, you own tasks from start to finish
- You're self-motivated and comfortable working in a startup culture
- You're results oriented and focused on optimizing based on what's successful
- You have prior K-12 sales experience and can "speak education"
- You have a track record of achieving or exceeding quota

This position can be either full-time remote (preference given to being located in the Western US) or based out of our Richmond, VA headquarters.

Sales Development Representative

Job Overview
This position is all about helping MajorClarity get in the door with as many schools and students as possible. This is an entry-level role in sales that provides substantial opportunity to learn the ropes of outbound sales while also truly making a difference in millions of students' lives.

Sales Development Reps will source and prospect leads, run outbound email and cold call campaigns to those prospects, set meetings, assist with product demos, and manage a deal pipeline.

About You
- You're driven and comfortable working in a startup culture, where you'll be growing quickly
- You're highly self-motivated—from booking meetings to preparing your account executives, you own tasks from start to finish
- You love talking to people and learning about their unique needs
- You're OK with repetition and task-minded
- You're results oriented, always making adjustments to improve
- (Bonus) You have some previous experience in a role making cold calls

Compensation is a combination of base salary and performance-based bonus and commission.

MARKETING

Demand Generation Associate or Manager

Job Overview
We are looking for a revenue-focused marketer with skills in both inbound and outbound marketing. You’ll join a fun, innovative team marketing one of the fastest-growing college and career readiness platforms in K-12 education. The role is designed to build brand awareness, launch into new markets, and promote products and services.

Responsibilities
- Publish a regular editorial calendar including social media, PPC and email to create buzz
- Establish thought leadership through content marketing, such as blog post, podcast, webinars and event marketing
- Build and optimize email marketing and marketing automation programs to nurture, convert, and grow partnerships with K-12 school districts
- Coordinate tradeshow/conference strategy including conference proposals, booth activities, and networking events
- Design one-pagers, decks, and landing pages to launch new product offerings
- Partner with our Sales Enablement Coordinator to run state-specific campaigns that open and expand key territories for our sales team
- Conduct A/B tests and ROI analysis on campaigns to optimize marketing spend, especially in emerging markets

The Expectations

- 3-7 years professional experience, with at least 1 year in B2B demand generation
- Sharp writing and design skills

This position can be either full-time remote or based out of our Richmond, VA headquarters. MajorClarity offers competitive perks including equity, medical/dental/vision, company outings, 10 company holidays + unlimited (and encouraged) PTO, remote Fridays, and more! The salary range is large depending on experience, but we expect salary for this position to fall between $55,000-$75,000.
